High Blood Pressure (Hypertension). High blood pressure increases your risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke. Physical Inactivity. People who are not active have a greater risk of heart attack than do people who exercise regularly. Exercise burns calories, helps to control cholesterol levels and diabetes, and may lower blood pressure. Exercise also strengthens the heart muscle and makes the arteries more flexible. Those who actively burn 500 to 3500 calories per week, either at work or through exercise, can expect to live longer than people who do not exercise. Even moderate-intensity exercise is helpful if done regularly.
Diabetes. Heart problems are the leading cause of death among people with diabetes, especially in the case of adult-onset or Type II diabetes (also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes). Certain racial and ethnic groups (African Americans, Hispanics, Asian and Pacific Islanders, and Native Americans) have a greater risk of developing diabetes.

Red rice yeast

Red rice yeast is produced from the fermentation process of steamed rice with yeast, it contains Monacolin-K, which is a secondary metabolite of the yeast, acting as a fatty acid synthesis inhibitor. It suppresses the rate determining step of fatty acid by monitoring the activity of HMG-CoA reductase (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase) and inhibit mevalonic acid synthesis that eventually slow down fatty acid production, especially bad fatty acid. Red rice yeast can also produce superoxide dismutase (SOD), ribonuclease, α-galactosidase, pectinase enzyme, which is a very potent antioxidant.
Nattokinase

Natto is a product of soyabean fermented by Bacillus Subtilis natto. There is a special enzyme found in Natto, named Nattokinase which can dissolve fatty and sticky substances in blood vessels. This improves the rate of metabolism, enhances the blood circulation, and excels a mild and sustainable (at least 18 hours) blood-diluting property.

Nattokinase possesses a very high fibrinolytic activity, clinical studies have concluded that an intake 2000 FU (Fibrinolytic Units) of diet a day can effectively help prevent cardiovascular problems.

Co enzyme-Q10

Co-Q10 is an auxiliary enzyme. Many biochemical and physiological reactions of enzymes rely on the work of Co-Q10. The principle physiological action of Co-Q10 is to catalyse the phosphorylation of ATP in mitochondria, enhancing the energy supply system of our body cells. In vivo studies found that there is a lower concentration of Co-Q10 in peoples with heart problems comparing to healthy individuals. The depletion of Co-Q10 could exacerbate heart problem.

American College of Cardiology Foundation had conducted a clinical study with 236 patients with heart problem for a follow-up of 2.5 years, it has proven that the plasma Co-Q10 concentration was an independent predictor of mortality. CO-Q10 deficiency might be detrimental to the long-term prognosis and increase the chance of heart problem occurrences. In fact, the concentration of Co-Q10 decreases along the aging. Co-Q10 replenishment is the key to keep the vigor of heart. Naturally-occurring Sources of COQ10

CoQ10 is part of a family of antioxidant compounds called "ubiquinones." The active version of CoQ10 is "ubiquinol" and is sold as a dietary supplement in that form. CoQ10 is a critical compound used by your cells to make energy or ATP, your body's energy molecule. As you get older, your body produces less and less CoQ10 for your cells to use, which results in less energy for you. Your cells are also less efficient and their immunity can be compromised, making them vulnerable to oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

Natural sources of CoQ10 are mainly "organ meats" such as the heart, liver and kidneys of animals. It is unlikely that these naturally high fat food sources are part of your diet.
